Wednesday’s Card: Birthday Fishes

Birthday Fishes

Hi All! Isn’t this stamp so darn cute? It’s Birthday Buddies by Paper Smooches. When I create a card for the blog, I always show it to my kids first, then I do a video to create a second one. Well, I was showing this card to Courtney, my 8 year old, and she said, “Oh Mommy, it’s so cute! I love their party hats!”. I quickly flipped it around so I could see it. Party hats? I colored that {Read More}

Wednesday’s Card: Ice Cream Sundae!

Sundae Card

Hi All! I have a few stamps from There She Goes. The quality is really good and the images are great. I especially love the sentiments that come with them – very unique. I have another set with some really funny sentiments… I’ll have to try and use it soon! I mention in the video that their sentiment stamps are teeny tiny letters. Yet, they still stamp very clear. Heck, I even heat embossed this sentiment and you can still {Read More}

Wednesday’s Post: Flower in a Vase

Colored Pencil Flower

Hi All! Today I decided to use the same flower stamp set I used on this card. As with the other card, I colored this one with my Derwent Inktense Pencils also. I really like how these pencils blend. I used the Hero Arts Soft Granite Shadow Ink as a background again. It’s such a pretty shade. I created the white border on my panel by using my Spellbinders die as a stencil. Be sure to emboss the panel after {Read More}

Christmas Card

Hi All, Today I’m back up over on the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft blog! I created this faux-suede look with Gelatos, some water, and an embossing folder. Okay, yes, I know the trees are in grass and not snow. I think green looks more colorful, plus my Christmas is almost always green here in Dallas, lol! Anyway, to see step by step photos and the supply list, visit my post over there. Also see the video below. I have something {Read More}

Wednesday’s Card – Cheery Holiday

Candy Cane Card

Happy Halloween! What better way to celebrate Halloween than with a Christmas card, lol! I actually thought about making a Halloween card for today, but then I figured that it’s probably too late at this point. So, Merry Halloween! I thought I would use the new holiday set I purchased for my Christmas cards in another way. I really like this set! Although I love the fun of Halloween and the kids trick-or-treating, I’m looking forward to putting tonight’s candy-eating {Read More}

Day One of Guest Design Weekend at Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft!

Gelato Background

Happy Weekend All! This weekend I am doing a two-part post for Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft. My focus is how to use Gelatos in a card background. The card for today uses the blue and green metallic Gelatos. Aren’t they beautiful? And they are really easy to work with because they go on so smooth and creamy. I also did a little something different for my card base, so be sure to check out the video for details. Head on {Read More}
