Metallic Gelatos!

Hi All! I am excited to be popping into the Faber Castell Design Memory Craft blog today! I love, love metallic Gelatos. They are very creamy, and the colors are fabulous. I have used them before on this card, this card, this card, and this card, just to name a few. You can get them all in one pack. Yay! The colors in this pack work so well together. You see the enamel hearts? I created them using embossing paste {Read More}

Family Thankful Tree

Thankful Tree

Happy Saturday! Today I’m bringing you a special Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft project. It’s a canvas, but don’t worry… the supplies needed are limited and there’s no paint involved! I created the tree on a 16″x20″ canvas using Gelatos. The leaves are manually cut out with scissors and inked roughly with various distress inks. All of us (my daughters, my husband, and me) wrote something about what we are thankful for on each leaf. I haven’t decided if I’m going {Read More}

Christmas Card

Hi All, Today I’m back up over on the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft blog! I created this faux-suede look with Gelatos, some water, and an embossing folder. Anyway, to see step by step photos and the supply list, visit my post over there. Also see the video below. I have something {Read More}

Day Two of Guest Design Weekend at Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft!

Gelato Background

Welcome back to my Guest Design weekend! I’m here today with the second round of using Gelatos in a card background. The card for today starts the same as yesterday… heat embossing white on white and covering with gelatos. However, instead of spraying with water, I wipe with a baby wipe. You can tell that the color is much more subtle, which complements the vibrant flowers. Yesterday I created the reverse – a vibrant background and a subtle focal element. {Read More}

Day One of Guest Design Weekend at Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft!

Gelato Background

Happy Weekend All! This weekend I am doing a two-part post for Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft. My focus is how to use Gelatos in a card background. The card for today uses the blue and green metallic Gelatos. Aren’t they beautiful? And they are really easy to work with because they go on so smooth and creamy. I also did a little something different for my card base, so be sure to check out the video for details. Head on {Read More}

Guest Design Day at Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft!

Mixed Media Big Flower

Happy Monday!! Hope you had a great weekend. 🙂 Today is my first day being the Guest Designer over on the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft blog! I’m so excited about the products I used to create my projects – they were so much fun. When I first saw the Mixed Media Sampler Pack, I thought, what are you going to do with all the same colors in one pack? I challenged myself to do just that. I ended up totally {Read More}
