Wednesday’s Card: Birthday Fishes

Birthday Fishes

Hi All! Isn’t this stamp so darn cute? It’s Birthday Buddies by Paper Smooches. When I create a card for the blog, I always show it to my kids first, then I do a video to create a second one. Well, I was showing this card to Courtney, my 8 year old, and she said, “Oh Mommy, it’s so cute! I love their party hats!”. I quickly flipped it around so I could see it. Party hats? I colored that {Read More}

Wednesday’s Card: Chalkboard Butterfly

Chalkboard Butterfly

Hi All, I’m calling this a chalkboard because it kind of looks like one to me, but maybe not? I don’t know. The technique is pretty easy, and the good news is that you can be really sloppy with your distress ink and not worry about blocks and lines, lol!! I decided to leave off the sentiment for now. Maybe I’ll add one later. If I do, I’ll probably put it in the lower right corner. Or maybe I’ll just {Read More}

Wednesday’s Card: Masked Silhouette Flower

Masked Silhouette

Hi All, A pretty simple card this week – the video is very short! I created a mask using a Spellbinders die. Honestly, not much else to report this week!! Enjoy. Wednesday’s Card: Flower Shadow

Black Shadow Flower

Hi All! When I go to my craft room to create a card, I usually have a pretty solid idea. However, the resulting card hardly EVER looks like what I had originally envisioned. All that extra time spent in the shower planning my cards for nothing, lol! I think it’s just my excuse to take a long shower. Anyhoo, I thought it would be fun to show you how this card came about. It started when I saw Heather do {Read More}

Wednesday’s Card: Beautiful Wings

Beautiful Wings Card

Hi All! I have a pretty quick card this week. I try to alternate my posts between simple and complicated. Sometimes it’s nice to just crank one out, right? I used a new distress ink called Picked Raspberry. It’s so pretty – kinda reminds me of Stampin’ Up!’s Melon Mambo. I spritzed the Full Bloom Hollyhocks stamp with water and stamped it onto the inked cardstock to get that reverse watercolor look. I’m sure there is a name for this {Read More}

Wednesday’s Card: Sending Warm Fuzzies

Sending Warm Fuzzies

Hi All! Today I used the same Paper Smooches set I used on THIS CARD. I just love these cute little cups and cookies. I used Copics to color them. The background stamp is a new one to me – it’s Curled Pattern by Basic Grey and Hero Arts. Um, well, I used it upside down by accident. Did you notice? I thought you might not, so I just left it, lol! You could replace the sentiment with “Happy Valentine’s {Read More}

Wednesday’s Card: Santa and Reindeer Owls!

Owl Santa and Reindeer

Hi All! The holidays wouldn’t be complete without making a Christmas card with my owl punch! I did the same owl Santa from last year, but then I added a couple of reindeer. I saw this card fold in my Paper Crafts magazine and thought it would be perfect with the owls. I love it because it also opens up like a regular card so you can write on the inside. Today is the last day of the Stampin’ Up! {Read More}
