Wednesday’s Card: Sending Warm Fuzzies

Sending Warm Fuzzies

Hi All! Today I used the same Paper Smooches set I used on THIS CARD. I just love these cute little cups and cookies. I used Copics to color them. The background stamp is a new one to me – it’s Curled Pattern by Basic Grey and Hero Arts. Um, well, I used it upside down by accident. Did you notice? I thought you might not, so I just left it, lol! You could replace the sentiment with “Happy Valentine’s {Read More}

Wednesday’s Card: Vellum Butterfly

Vellum Butterfly

Hi All! I really don’t like to use my Copics on top of heat embossed images. The embossing powder gets on the tips of my markers. I did it in a video once, not realizing what I was doing. Since then, I’ve seen lots of people do it, but it just makes me uncomfortable. So, for this card, I heat embossed on vellum and then colored the back using Copics. I just love heat embossing on vellum – it comes {Read More}

Wednesday’s Card: Warm Thoughts

Warm Thoughts

Hi All! Hope you are enjoying your holiday season and not stressing too much! It always amazes me how stressful the holidays can get. Believe it or not, I am STILL working on my Christmas cards. I seriously need to get those done today. I love how this card turned out – it just seems cozy, with the knit background and the coffee. I think I also love it because I love coffee and I haven’t been able to have {Read More}

Wednesday’s Card: Holiday Thank-You

Reindeer Thank You

Hi All, Bringing you some more holiday cheer today! I made this card to give to the host of a Christmas party I am going to. Hosting a party is a lot of work!! I think these people deserve some recognition. I used Copics to color and I used masking with a post-it to create the snow. I just love this little guy’s sweater!! On a different topic… I’ve been sending you guys to Ellen Hutson to purchase Neenah paper {Read More}

Wednesday’s Card: Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream!

Hot Chocolate Card

Hi All! I’m really going to town on the Scentsational Season stamp set! I really love the variety in it. This week’s card is pretty simple but I added a few details to make it special. Specifically, the Copic shading and the liquid applique for my whipped cream. I mention in the video that the Copic coloring on colored cardstock is pretty tricky because it takes the ink quite awhile to dry. And when it does, it fades significantly. So, {Read More}

Wednesday’s Card: Paisley Butterfly

Paisley Butterfly

Hi All! I used one of my favorite stamps right now – the Penny Black Paisley Outline background. I like it because it’s a small print and not very detracting from your focal point. I stamped the butterfly right on it – it’s not a separate layer. I really like how this card turned out. One other thing I did a little differently is the card base. The white folded card base is cut 1/4″ shorter than a normal card. {Read More}

Wednesday’s Card: Cool Sister Card

Cool Sister Card

Hi All! The white panel of this card is all one layer. I added quite a bit of shadowing to the dog using Copic markers. Another interesting thing I did on this card was use Stampin’ Up! Classic inks on clear polymer stamps. I REALLY wanted to have Stampin’ Up! colors for my sentiments, but I always have trouble getting a clear image – the water-based Stampin’ Up! inks are repelled on the clear stamp, making it “ball up”. So, {Read More}
