This card is a follow-up to my Wednesday post… another Christmas card using the same stamp set (my favorite holiday set): Snow Swirled by Stampin’ Up. I tried to assemble the ribbon so that it looks like a present because really… a handmade card is a present!!
This card took just about a minute or two longer than the Christmas tree card. The snowflakes look awesome because they are heat embossed with white powder. I really think you could make lots of these cards in not too much time because the embossing is pretty simple. Last year I used heat and stick powder with glitter, which was like a 5-step process on each card. I was cursing myself on the 80th card!! I have an extra one, so I will take a photo and post it later.
More holiday music – this time Ella Fitzgerald. Enjoy!

This is a beautiful card and it looks so easy to make. Thank you for sharing it and making the video – it’s a big help! I also like that you speed it up – no wasting time watching someone taking the backings off of dimensionals or tape!
Gorgeous and thanks for the bit of Ella
Awesome Darlene!! You make it look so easy.
I’m catching up on my Google Reader today, so i’m just watching this video now. Love your holiday cards, and this one is so pretty. I really like how you decided to leave your “mistake” in the video (when the card base was too small)… rather than editing it out. It shows that you are human and things like that happen, yet it was still able to be fixed. I’m glad i’m not the only one who makes those types of mistakes!
lovely, thank you
