Hi All,
I’ve had some people ask me for a tour of my craft room. So, I went around the room with my camera and gave a little commentary along the way. I had no idea that I had that much to say – the video was 20 minutes long!! I had to go back and cut out 5 minutes here and there because the YouTube max is 15 minutes. The file was so big that I made the quality a little lower so it would be manageable.
I also got on camera for the first minute or so – my first time. I knew this would happen… now I want a new hairstyle. Your worst critic is you – right? Anyway, hope you enjoy my tour. If you have any questions about anything, email me!

Thanks for visiting my video blog! I post a new video every Wednesday and sometimes an extra when I have time.

Darlene
Thanks for the grand tour. I have had a terrible time with punches, so the curtain rod idea is a must do!!!!
Thanks for the craft room tour. I like the idea about the scrap storage. Right now, my scraps are in a box all jumbled up!! I am definitely going to try to do what you did with your scraps. Thanks again.!!
Hi Darlene! Thanks for the cool video of your studio. I love seeing how other crafters organize their supplies. I have a couple questions for you after watching the video. Hope you don’t mind! First, what is that butterfly die? I need it. It’s adorable. Second, what video editing software do you use to flip/edit your video? I’m in the market for video editing software and would love to hear what you like/don’t like about your choice. Third, if I was to order Stampin’ Up stuff through your website, it would ship to me, right? I don’t have a demonstrator, so I would love to benefit you when making my purchases!
Thanks for your answers and always for providing inspiration. You rock! And don’t be so hard on yourself on appearing on camera. You look fine!
Thanks for showing all the details of how you store your products. I didn’t snoop all in the drawers when Danielle showed me the room. I do like the idea of the punch’s, I was thinking of putting a shoe hanging rack on the back of my office/craft room door and putting them all in the shoe slots. Thanks for all the fantastic ideas! Your an awesome woman!!!
Hi Brit! To answer your questions….
1. The butterfly die also embosses – it’s called Beautiful Wings.
2. I was using iMovie for the Mac. Although it was a little slow, it was very easy to use. I just bought a new PC, so now I’m using Adobe Premiere Elements. So far, it’s faster and more flexible. It’s not as easy to use, but so far I’d say I prefer the Adobe software.
3. Yes, the SU goodies would ship straight to you. You are so nice to let me get the benefit of your order – thank you!!!
And thanks for the nice comments. If you have any other questions, let me know!
Thanks Monica – you are always so sweet!
I enjoyed your tour! Thanks – love seeing different ways to organize all the stuff.
I found your talent about four months ago. Your skills are amazing and you teach me something new each time I log on to your blog. I have no family of my own so I do special occasion pages for my mom and baby sister.
I also supply my mom with cards for all occasions.
Now, Thanks to you I am branching out, I have decided to try stamping. I just need to get some good pencils for coloring.
Once again, thank you for sharing your ideas, your time, and now your work station.
Blessed be
Loved your craftroom tour! A master at work!
Loved your tour. Thanks for including your video setup. You’ve inspired me to do a tour of my “tower” when I get a chance. One thing I may do for my table is to buy a large piece if thick acrylic (about the size of my desk blotter) to stamp on so I can also mix colors right on it just like the craft sheet you showed, but bigger. I’m hoping it would also define my space a little better so things I’m working with don’t encroach as much. I could also put a SU grid sheet underneath it so it stays clean. Just thinkin’…
Hi, just discovered your blog from your YouTube video on Owl Flip card. Thanks for the tour of your craft room. I am obsessively organizing my stuff all the time, so interested in seeing how others manage it. Thanks for showing your video set up. I was planning on starting to film videos, so your setup idea was very helpful. I bought the Adobe Elements for video editing, so glad you approve of it for your use. Please keep the good designs flowing! Love your designs. Jennifer
Hey, thanks for the craftroom tour! I am trying to re-organize mine, and it’s slow going. I need tips….this caught my eye: I like that Target? thingie you store your scraps of card in by color. I didn’t notice where or how you store your dies? I just saw some magnetic sheets with notebook “holes” so they can be added to the same stamp storage…@ SP and Company. Hmm. Also, I need to see my stuff or I forget to use it. MY punches are in a “over the door shoe rack” from BBand Beyond. It’s Parisan looking, black and white with more nylon type strong material. I put an “example” cut from the punch or edger on the front so I can see at a glance. Quite roomy, can fit two per pocket most of the time. Just thought I’d share that. Ribbons? I have, just don’t use too much, ahem, I sort of forget, plus, I am ribbon “challenged”…LOL Thanks Darlene for the tour. It was fun. Oh, and love that fancy granite top surface! Nice! LOL
