Hope you’re having a great week! My favorite day of the week is Tuesday… no after school activities for the kids! We just relax and hang out. I’ve gotten into a really bad habit of a McDonald’s chocolate dip cone every Tuesday with the kids after school. McD’s doesn’t have any nutritional information for it, which is telling. I’ve seen the nutritional info on Magic Shell (the same chocolate shell coating you can buy in the store). It’s shockingly full of fat – the saturated kind. Oh well, it’s so good! I do a lot of Zumba on Tuesdays (almost 4 hours yesterday), so I figure I can afford a little dip cone if I want!
I bought this stamp set at Hero Arts a couple of months ago and finally decided to break it out. I feel like I’ve been doing a lot of big flowers lately, so that’s why I haven’t used it yet. I also decided to branch out on my card size. I usually do a standard 4.25×5.5 card, but this one is 6.5×3.25. I picked this size because I bought some long thin envelopes from Stampin’ Up! that fit a card this size.
This card is colored using Copic markers, which I LOVE. At some point, maybe when I get some more experience, I will attempt a Copic tutorial. I love the depth of the color. The only downside is that it takes forever to color. As a result, the video is significantly faster than real time! I decided to leave everything in rather than cut it out so that you can see how I’m coloring – light, dark, light, dark. I only have 2 shades of each color. So, to make a third, lighter color, I use the colorless blender to pull color out of the lighter shade. Does that make sense? Email me if you have any questions about it.
Is the video blocked in your country due to music rights? You can see an audio-swapped version here.
