Hi All!
I have a few stamps from There She Goes. The quality is really good and the images are great. I especially love the sentiments that come with them – very unique. I have another set with some really funny sentiments… I’ll have to try and use it soon! I mention in the video that their sentiment stamps are teeny tiny letters. Yet, they still stamp very clear. Heck, I even heat embossed this sentiment and you can still read it clearly!! That’s pretty amazing. It may be hard for you to make it out in my photo – it says “Stressed spelled backwards is desserts”.
Anyway, I used Copics to color the ice cream. I had to be creative with the vanilla, since I didn’t want it to look all yellow. So, I used a little bit of brown in it. I used Glossy Accents on the syrup and the cherry – looks so yummy, right?
I get a lot of email questions about Copics. I know how overwhelming it can be to get started – there are so many!! If you are in that boat, here are a few posts that might help you:
- Copics – Where to Start?
- Copic Basics for Beginners
- The Copics section of the My Favorite Things page has my most commonly used colors.
- The 5th question on my FAQ’s page compares Copics to Stampin’ Up! markers.
Hope this helps!
Shout-out to Barb G, who sent me her extra set of Spellbinders scallop ovals, used on this card.
For those of you who have been following my blog for awhile, you know that my husband is addicted to Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. I refuse to purchase it (I have no self control when it’s in the house), so he takes it upon himself to buy his own. He works a lot, so it’s not often he gets free time. As a result, he buys in major bulk. He just bought about 20 more pints of it last week. Ugh!! All those flavors!! I’m trying not to eat it, so I’ve got ice cream on the brain, hence this card. By the way – he’s skinny as can be. Figures.
Enjoy and have a great week!

Absolutely deelishus! This is so cute….the coloring is wonderful and you make it look so easy!
I love There She Goes stamps, too. They are wonderful quality….and I think they are having a 15% off sale right now!
Beautiful card. I love your videos
Your cards are so great and your videos are just the right amount of time and still show all the information we need.
Thank you.
As usual a very cute card. I love that your cards have a whimsical look. It makes me want to do better with my own creations. Thanks!
You’re right, this is really adorable. Love the shiny syrup and the cherry. The sentiment is great…I think I’m hungry now.
this is so cute: love your work
Oh Darlene…..you just made me go and grab a scoop or two of Ben and Jerry’s, I love it too and yes!! it can get you addicted to it. But my dear, you are in amazing shape so, indulge a little, eh? you work out so much with your Zumba classes that a little ice cream wont do you no harm.
Ok now, about this card…..it’s delicious, wow!! the crystal effects make it look so darn real, your coloring is amazing, as usual and the sentiment absolutely made me laugh. I never, ever knew that the word “stressed” = “desserts” spelled backwords, trully fantastic. I’m going to have to get me this set, thank you so much for sharing.
Oh so yummy looking!! You have the cutest ideas. Very inspiring to get making those cards!!
Thank you very much. This tutorial was extremely helpful.
Another great card Darlene – love the colors and that background stamp.
Skinny husband who eats lots of ice cream – not fair!!
LOVE!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Great card and great colors! I so love green! i cannot wait to buy my Copic markers!! Are your the sketchers? I want the long ones and I keep forgetting which one they are. Did you get yours a Dick Blick?!
Cute card, Darlene. I love your coloring skills!! I have never been a fan of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream but my dh loves it too and he is skinny too! I can look at ice cream and gain weight…ugh!!
I’ll keep ya encouraged to keep away from the fridge:)
So cute and sweet ..looks so tasty too…super great card and tutorial!
Always love your tutorials!
Again a great breakfast with you Darlene. Lucky it wasn’t dinner or I may have been into the icecream too. Love the card and you make it look so easy. Thank you so much for sharing.
Love those glossy accents. Great card this week.
Love it….so very pretty!!!
Darlene, I love this card. What a cute image and saying – fits perfectly. You make the coloring look so easy! Thanks so much for the video. I always wait for Wednesdays!
Love your ice cream card. I see you are using the Ranger Glossy Accents now, how does this compare to SU’s Crystal Effects? I still have problems with the Crystal Effects drying up before I finish the bottle.
Hi Pam, yes, mine are Copic Sketch markers. I get mine at Dick Blick
and Ellen Hutson.
Carol, I personally like the Glossy Accents better than the Crystal Effects. The Glossy Accents are less cloudy, have a finer tip for applying, and the bottle never get clogged.
The dimension of the bowl is amazing! Tasty card!
Thanks for another awesome video!
Thanks Darlene, I will go get Ranger Glossy Accents ASAP. Nice to get your take on it before I spent the bucks.
VERY cute! Love the sentiment!
Fabulous card. My sentiments EXACTLY!! I haven’t heard of There She Goes stamps before. Definitely will check it out. Wednesdays have become my favorite day of the week!
It looks so yummy! Simply perfect as usual Darlene, thanks for the inspiration.
This card is mouth watering – and that sentiment is so sassy! I will have to put them on my “to order” list!
Thanks so much for yet again another great tutorial! I can’t wait to do that tone on tone on tone background technique!
This card is delicious!!
Darlene: I found you while “surfing” YouTube” and I have been fan since. You are very generous to share your card making talents and I look forward to your weekly videos. I have almost viewed all your previous posts as well! Thank you
