  1. Darlene – somehow I missed this post. How terrible is that? It is such a darling card. Love it. So glad you added it to your message from yesterday’s post (can you tell my life is a bit nuts right now?). Warm and fuzzy indeed. Something we need on these cold snowy Illinois days. Thanks for a wonderful tutorial!

  2. Congrats! Three years, time flies when you are having fun!!!

Your card is amazing as always, I really like how you used all the colors on the background stamp. Hope you do not mind if I try it.

  3. Darlene,
Congrats on your three year anniversary. How exciting for you! Loved this card. Another great idea – and as always, so well done.

    Here’s to lots more years!

  4. Who says the stamp is upside down? Too funny! Congrats on three years and I am sure you will hit you next milestone on followers soon.

Dear Darlene, Congrats on your 3 years and I wish you many more. I love coming to your blog to see your creations and to learn from you. I love your videos, you are a wonderful teacher and a very honest artist. I’m very thankful for that. (Maybe this is not the right place for this question, so forgive me, but what happened to your other blog? I could never find it again after the first post). Thanks so much for sharing your creativity and talent with us.
    Hugs.

  10. Hello, encore une très belle carte , merci du partage, Nanoa

  11. Sweet card. Great for any recipient. Congrats on your 3rd anniversary coming up.

  12. Congrats on the 3 years! That is amazing….I have been watching your videos for about a year now, and have loved everyone! I even went back and watched all the ones from before I found you. You are a great teacher and I have learned a lot from you. I think my own stamping is better because of the little tips and tricks I have picked up from you! Thank you!! I really look forward to Wednesdays knowing I can see a Darlene video.

  13. Congrats on 3 years! I’m so thankful you’ve started this blog and do such amazing videos. I did a little “happy dance” in my chair when I realized it was Wednesday and there would be a new card creation up. It’s a great mid-week inspiration treat 🙂

  14. Well Darlene, I’m not surprised that you have so many followers, your videos are amazing, fun and informative, you are a great teacher, my dear. I’m so glad I found your blog, I can’t remember how or when but I absolutely love it. You can be sure I will keep on coming back year after year. I love the fact that you are totally honest with the products you use and I appreciate the input, I also love the fact that you use many products to stamp and color your cards and that is amazing because we can see first hand how to use them properly. I wish for you many, many more years of success and wonderful ideas to share with all of us.

  15. Congratulations on three years. I look forward to them each week. I have learned so many new techniques and your tips and tricks are so helpful. Today’s card is so cute, thanks again for all the great videos.

  16. Congratulations on 3 years of blogging! Love your videos…watch them faithfully, although I don’t subscribe to YouTube. So, you likely have way more than 5000 viewers! Very cute card, as usual. I always discover great tips while watching you create.

So sorry you don’t like the Borders Scoring Plate. I love mine. There is a bit of a learning curve; I’ve discovered that Post-Its will keep the card stock from moving and you definitely have to score slowly, ensuring that you don’t slip out of the groove. I usually go over each impression twice. The overlay is more of a visual than physical guide. I don’t scrapbook, but I can understand the frustration of not being able to score end to end on a 12X12.

  17. Congrats on three years! I love watching your videos and am so glad you share with all of us, thanks! I look forward to following you for years to come.

  18. I would have never known that background stamp was upside down! You are too funny. Absolutely love your creativity and sharing of all types of products. You have expanded my stamping world. Thank you for that! Thanks for the honest review of the Borders plate. I held off ordering that one – just didnt get a good feeling about ordering it. Thanks for saving me the disappointment. Congrats on 3 years and give us many more!!! I look forward to my email every Wednesday.

  21. Congratulations on 3 years. Your videos are great, always original and beautiful. Love the Paper Smooches stamps! Also, I appreciate your honest comments regarding products.

  22. What a fun card! These cards makes me wanna craft right away! Love the background stamp. And well, Paper Smooches, they only have fun stamps!

  23. Oh…and what a great idea to use a t-square!

  24. How cute!!! Love this set and you’ve done something extra special with it.
I was surprised you used Versafine Ink with Copics. I though the law of Copics was that it had to be Memento. I didn’t see any smearing though of the ink….or maybe that’s just because you are so good! I will have to give that a try. I love the Versafine inks….I agree….they just give such nice crisp images!

    Wonderful card!

And thanks for the info on the scoring board!

    • Darlene DeVries says:

Susan, you are right, Versafine is not the best for Copics. I’ve used the Black Onyx before and the bleeding was pretty bad. Because I was using light brown and not doing a lot of heavy coloring, I decided to go with the Versafine. But honestly, if I had to do it over, I would probably choose the Memento.
