Wednesday’s Card: Warm Thoughts

Warm Thoughts

Hi All!

Hope you are enjoying your holiday season and not stressing too much! It always amazes me how stressful the holidays can get. Believe it or not, I am STILL working on my Christmas cards. I seriously need to get those done today.

I love how this card turned out – it just seems cozy, with the knit background and the coffee. I think I also love it because I love coffee and I haven’t been able to have any for almost a month due to my stomach ulcer!! The smell of it is just torture for me! I’m hopeful that I will eventually be able to have it again. Sigh.

Anyhoo…the card today uses two new stamp sets I just got from Paper Smooches… Hot Concoctions and Sentiment Sampler. I colored the mug using Copics. I used an Impression Obsession background stamp – I love these because they are 6″x6″, which means you can use the stamp portrait or landscape. So cool!

My last post as guest designer for Faber Castell Design Memory Craft is this Saturday, so come back and visit then. Video included!

Happy Holidays!!

Darlene

  5. Valerie Gee says:

I love the steam swirly coming up from the cup that makes a heart! SO CUTE!

  6. Darlene – great card, as always! To heal your stomach ulcer ASAP, you need to start taking Manuka honey ASAP! I have a serious stomach condition and let me tell you, it’s truly a life saver. According to several medical studies, it heals stomach ulcers like nothing else in existence. Make sure you are getting 15+ active honey, like this: http://store.thewildbee.com/ceorac15maho1.html

Take good care and get well soon! I know you will.

  10. I’m a fan of the Cover-a-Card stamps, so I know how well they stamp. Even so, I keep staring at that knit background, thinking that it has to be a sweater!

  11. Well, what can I say, your cards are always amazing and this one is no exception. I hope one day you will be able to drink coffee again. How about coffee choclates, after all it is Christmas. Have a Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  12. Love this card! That Knit background is so cute and you are so talented with your copics.
