A had a request for my wishlist (hi Natalie!), so I thought it would be fun to share. Here are my favs in the new catalog, in no particular order…
Pleasant Poppies – Love, love, love this, even though I just bought that There She Goes Poppy set. You can use it as a foreground OR a background.
Summer Silhouettes – I just loved the dandelion in this set with the sprinkles on top – you can make them all different colors. I also like the fence-looking lace (can’t remember what that’s called) – just stamp it right across the card.
Papillon Potpourri – Need I say more? With a matching punch!
Polar Party – This has been on my list for quite some time – it’s not new this year. I decided the time has come to buy. I see Copics with these stamps.
Itty Bitty Banners – I like my sentiments on the smallish side. And, I like them outlined. With the matching die, I just can’t pass on this one.
Petite Pairs – Someone just recently pointed this set out to me. It’s not new, but I never took notice of it. There’s a sentiment for the outside of the card and a matching one for the inside. And the sentiments aren’t corny or weird… a requirement.
Notable Alphabet – Anytime I see an alphabet set that I can color-in, I buy it. I stamp words and titles into my scrapbook pages all the time, and I like to color them to match the page. So, here we go.
You’ll notice that I linked to the wood block versions of all stamps except the alphabet. Why? Well… I’ve been buying the clear-mount stamps from SU since they came out in January, 2011. Since that time, I’ve realized that I’m still OCD about aligning stamps just perfectly. I end up using my Stamp-a-ma-jig even on the clear-mount, so I might as well get the wood block and save myself time by keeping the vellum sheet with the set (you have to stamp the clear-mount on the stamp-a-ma-jig sheet every time). The only issue is that it is more expensive to buy the wood block. I’m getting all these in wood block for now, but I’ll probably switch back and forth depending on price.
Other Stuff on My List:
Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack – I just thought this was way cool. There are three templates that coordinate with the punches and dies. I thought it would be fun to poke the holes on an inked piece of white paper and sand them down like I did on THIS CARD.
Pierce Mat – My old one is VERY used up and tiny. I need a new one and it’s much larger than the old pad.
Elegant Butterfly Punch – is anyone not going to get this?
Bitty Banners Framelits – to match the stamp set above.
I’m also planning to order a few colors of the new stamp pads. I have heard they are softer and pull more ink than the old ones. Since I already have most of the colors, I’m going to be pretty select.
Okay, that’s it for round one. I have a whole year to order – I need to space it out a little!
I posted a new page the other day on how to order a catalog. Check it out if you are interested.
What’s on your list?
