  1. Hello Darlene,
I discovered your blog through youtube very recently, and I totally fell in love with all your creations.
I proposed a challenge to some friends of mine. The topic was to use one of the techniques you present in this video.
Here is my take on it:
Thanks again for your videos, it is very inspiring.

Hey Darlene! I just stumbled on you a few weeks ago and what an inspiration! I have been going through your older videos as well and am so glad you started doing your voice over 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration – you are so very talented! I was also very touched to read about your Stampin’ Up! ordeal and how you turned a negative into such a positive thing. I think a few life lessons can be learned there…

    Thanks for sharing your talent!
(sent ALL THE WAY from Germany 🙂

  10. Hello Darlene: I can’t stop saying that I love the way you use the foam aplicators too. I went and bought 6 the other day at my Hobby Lobby store and I got a pack of 10 foams. I couldn’t find the rack that you have so I think I will order it from Ranger. I had to practice for a while to be able to get the same difussed effect you get on your cards and well, I’m not quite as good as you yet but it’s just a matter of time and more practice. Once again your card was amazing, with the couple of sprays of water, it looks like a water color painting, I love the SU markers, I too bought them all and I use them all the time to color my cards using the aqua painters, which I LOVE, LOVE.
Enjoy your time with your little daughters, God knows kids grow up so darn fast. Thank you again for your awesome videos.

This card is beautiful! I love the warm colors against the black sentiment and the border. Such contrast reminds me of warm summer night.
Also love embossing on the vellum: very contrasting effect, too. JUST a lovely lovely card!

  12. Michelle says:

I can’t believe it never occurred to me to buy all the markers so that I didn’t need to buy all the stamp pads. That tip was golden to me! Thank you! I look forward to every Wednesday because I know there will be a lovely new video for me to delight in. You know I love your cards! Now here is a supremely dumb question. I know that you use the foam applicators all the time and it always looks like you have a nice, shiny new white pad. When you get back from vacation, do you mind explaining to me how that works? Do you wash them out? Do you have pad for each color? I think I’d like to try this. Thanks, Darlene!

  18. I love Colorado Springs and I love this card. In the very long ago past I tried coloring with markers without a great result because I was too slow. Now that I know about your water tip, I will give it another try. Thanks!

  1. […] I was done with this card, I realized that I made one pretty similar to it a couple of months ago. So, I almost feel like I cheated you out a little bit. That’s […]
