Hi All!
Something a little different today – gift tags! I’ve been thinking of these gift tags as kid tags, but honestly, I think I would use them for gifts to my friends too! How cute are those little furry folks!! 
If you have young children, or children with young children, you know how many birthday parties there are! I usually don’t give one of my handmade cards with the gift – you know the kid is just tearing it off to get to the toy! I like to use a simple tag and have my child write out the “to” and “from”. Another benefit – it’s on the outside of the gift and everyone can enjoy your efforts!
I dug out some little accessories for these animals from other sets – balloon, hat, cupcake, etc. They are all colored with Copics. In the video, I created the raccoon one. It really didn’t take long to create these – I want to say about 10-15 minutes each? I think a set of these would make a great gift to a mom of young children for Mother’s Day!
In other news… I am pre-ordering the new Stampin’ Up! 2012-13 catalogs on Monday to be sent to customers. I know in my previous post I said that anyone who spent $100 or more this year would get a free catalog from me. Well… as I compiled the list, it’s longer than I thought it would be. Oh my goodness, Darlene!!!!! You are just amzing beyond words. I too purchased the “Furry Folk” stamp set because of YOU!!!!! This tags are so cute and I think I will start making some for each of my grandchildren’s teachers as a gift at the end of the school year.
I have purchased a whole bunch of stuff from SU just because of you. I’m so happy that I got this stamp set before it’s gone. I truly wish I “discovered” you sooner, I would definetly buy all of my SU goodies through you.

So cute! Unfortunately, we don’t have the Furry Folk stamp set here in Australia so I’m thinking of what I could subsitute – any suggestions? Anyway, another great idea and of course I now have a few more ‘have to have’ stamps and dies – so thanks for the great gift tag idea and great tips on how to improve my coloring skills.

I found your entire site (and you) impressive and inspiring. I got some great new ideas on how to use my distress inks – there’s so much information packed on your site I’ll be busy checking back here for a long, long time.
It’s obvious that you are a huge influence on a lot of people. I was so pleased to see your giving back page, I’m sure you do a lot of good through your blog. All that being said I couldn’t help but notice the whole controversy with Stampin Up. WOW. Thank Heaven you made the decision you did and didn’t deprive the rest of us with ALL your wonderful ideas.
With all that is going on in our economy – prospective employers asking for job candidates social network passwords, the lack of jobs,etc. – it isn’t surprising that corporate imperialism has raised it’s ugly head. Stampin Up went way too far. It’s positively unAmerican. How dare they try to control their demonstrators’ private lives? What’s next? Will they require their customers to promise not to use anyone else’s stuff? Not to mention the emails from their representative are hardly business worthy. From the terrible misspellings to the lack of readable sentence structure Stampin Up comes off looking pretty bad. I was shocked that someone representing a business would allow such an email to go out.
I don’t know anyone who limits themselves to using just one company’s products. Stampin Up would be smarter to encourage people to explore any avenue of creativity. As for “Anonymous” snotty comment regarding YOUR creativity – oh please! Obviously a troll for Stampin Up. Thank you for your wonderful blog I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!
