  1. Mateena says:

What are the rest of the dimensions of the paper you used for the main floral image?

    • Darlene DeVries says:

Mateena, gosh I don’t know. I gave the cards away so I don’t have them anymore. I would guess around 3″ x 4.5″.

  2. You make it look so easy! 🙂

  3. Kimberli Sarsfield says:

Love this set! The embossed background really sets the stage for it all and I love the dimension you added by using the label and twine:)

  4. First things first….LOVE the card. Will use this idea for a group of note cards for one of my bosses, who sends out tons of cards. So thank you!!
Secondly, SU really needs to get their act together. Not hard to have the “she quit” department talk to the “she’s been promoted” department. I’m thinking they should be right down the hall so if they holler, they could be heard. …. Oh wait! I forgot…they’re heads are up their butts! Silly me!!

  5. Darlene, this is really a nice card.
I’ve learned a lot from you. Sometimes I hardly understand what you use cause you talk so fast but as you write it down below I can find out what material you used.
Anyhow, I started my Xmas card and will send you a picture by email, to show you how I’ve used your technique. I’ve also bought lots of material but you have so many colors in distress ink, I could never compete you on that. It’s so hard to choose a color, there are so many !
Thanks for all the care you bring in all your videos and sharing your knowledge.
    Hugs from France !
PS : I’m also getting a box like you for my embossing powder ! LOL ! I love the idea.

  6. A really beautiful set of cards that makes a perfect gift.

  7. LOVE the cards!!
I live in the netherlands so i can’t buy the stamps ;o(.
    They are so lovely!!!

  8. As usual, another bang up job! Nice design with so much detail.

    Olivia

  9. Darlene – what a lovely idea. I know that teacher will be so pleased. Thanks for sharing.

  10. Nice Set! Isn’t it freeing to use more Hero Arts, and not be confined to SU? I love your style and taste….I think I need to invest in more distress ink pads! 🙂 SU made a mistake by cornering you! Their loss, you are so talented! Keep them coming!

  11. I also agree with you – one design, many different sentiments! It’s really the easiest solution when you have many to make! Love the way you packaged these together Darlene!
Senior Supervisor hey! That is just the funniest ever after all the drama!

  12. What a great idea! Is there a SU flower you could recommend to use instead of the Hero Arts (which I love but I don’t own!!).
    Thanks for another great video.

  13. Carol Lucas says:

Very nice! As a former teacher (hoping to teach again someday!), I would have loved to receive a gift like that. Great idea!

  14. Oh MY, Oh My.

Impressive, thoughtful, and best of all within my skill level. You never cease to amaze me with your skill set that always seems to keep in mind us intermediate CAS stampers. I have all the “stuff” or things that may be easily substituted.

Thank you, for helping me rethink new ways to use them.

  15. This is a great gift idea. I just did the same thing for my sister but, with a batch of quilled Christmas cards. People enjoy giving out unique gifts and our cards can help them do that!

  16. Rhonda Miller says:

These are great. What a fun teacher gift idea. TFS.

  17. Beautiful cards! I just chuckled about your promotion — shouldn’t be funny, but it is.

  18. I made a set of “thinking of you” cards for my daughter-in-law… I like the way you packaged your cards. I will definitely do that! Thanks.

  19. Hi Darlene . . . once again you’ve come up with a terrific idea! Thanks for sharing, you are a very talented lady. What a special little gift for someone!

  20. What a lovely gift set. So meaningful and thanks for sharing your packaging idea too, Ms. Senior Supervisor. Seriously, do these people ever talk to eachother?

  21. Virginia L. says:

Beautiful idea and presentation! This certainly makes a gorgeous gift set!

  22. I love these, I made a set of 10 thank you cards for a good family friend of mine, will package them this way ..thanks for you inspiration as usual!
