  1. Wow! I thought at first the little deer was a 3D embellishment and from at least one other comment I see my thought was not unique! This is really wonderful….so cute and a great video to watch.

I found something that worked for me and my Glossy Accents and it was totally unplanned. I accidentally left the straight pin in it that I had used to unclog it. That is I left it in when I put the top back on and stored it with the pin in it. Totally by accident! And since then I’ve never had a problem with it clogging up. I just store it with the pin in….and when I remove the top the pin sort of sticks to the top and the goop flows easily. Easy peasy and works for me!

  2. Wow, you really brought Dasher alive!! What a great card! Love it!

  3. Oh My Word… I’m sure every other comment here will echo my WOW’s (sorry i didn’t read them)… THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!
I’ve been a stamper for over a decade, and LOVE to see new things and new ideas…
I wish I had Dasher, IF i did, I’d CASE this for my Christmas cards for sure…

PS: I love how you video in fast forward…

  4. I just LOVE everything about this card! I’ve often thought about getting this stamp but have always passed it over for something else. You really brought ‘Dasher’ to life with your expertise in shadowing using Copics! I also like how you situated ‘Dasher’ inside a Spellbinder Label. That really made a huge difference as well. Wonderfully done Darlene! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Wow… so pretty, looks like he’s about to walk off the page!

  6. C’est vraiment trรจs joli. Une nouvelle utilisation du “dasher”. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Gorgeous card Darlene. The colouring is fantastic and I love the twine around the card. The colour is just gorgeous.

  8. Darlene,
Beautiful! I think your demos have an added bonus – they are almost therapeutic!. I love watching them. I have a couple of brands of the crystal effects but find that the tips always seem clogged. I use a straight pin to open them up, but do you have any suggestions to keep them clear?

Have a great week. LOVE the look of the new blog.

    • Darlene DeVries says:

@Diana: Unfortunately, that’s exactly how I unclog my tip. I’ve had the same issue with other brands too. Sorry I don’t have a better idea. If you hear of one, let me know!

  9. Darlene, the reindeer is absolutely gorgeous!!

  10. Great video Darlene! I just love the way you colored that reindeer and that background is one of my favorite techniques to, just so cool!

  11. WOW, I thought this was a 3-D sticker on the card!
Amazing coloring. Really like it lots.

  12. stunning card. i have this stamp and have only used the kissing technique with it. You have brought a new dimension to this otherwise rather plain stamp. and i love the background technique. thanks!

  13. I love this!!! Your coloring is beautiful and so is your background. I don’t have Copics, but I’d like to try to shade him w/colored pencils. Don’t think I’ve seen anyone make a prettier card w/this stamp:) The twine is such a cute touch too!

I absolutely love how you lightly stamp a shadow stamp and jazz it up with Copics! Brilliant idea and it really makes this Dasher guy come to life. I also love the way you inked up your background and stamped the stamp in water. I always learn new techniques and ideas from you, thanks!

  23. Wow Darlene, you’ve opened up so many possibilities with this idea. Silhouette stamps are wonderful for stamping onto pretty backgrounds or embossing with pretty powders but now we can color them too. Fabulous card and thanks so much for the inspiration.
